Managing Director

Paul began his career in the automotive industry in 1995. From Fleet Sales Manager to General Manager in a just a few short years, he has always been focused on finding new ways to delight and deliver for his customers. In 2003 Paul opened Lease Options Ltd in Northern Ireland. After 11 successful years of year–on–year growth, Paul realigned the business with finance mobility and new and innovative ways to keep people mobile. With this move came a new name and brand – Traction. Paul attributes his many long term business relationships to his passion for delivering superior customer service. His own personal values of integrity, fairness and honesty influence all aspects of the business, as he endeavours to give his customers the very best value for money. A brilliant sporting competitor, Paul has a natural ability to remain calm, level headed and extremely focused in any situation. He puts a great deal of thought into all his decisions, ensuring staff and customers always receive a fair outcome.

As well as a company director, Lesley is responsible for Traction’s IT. She ensures that all technical issues are addressed accordingly to keep business–critical systems operational. “If we break it, Les will fix it!” is the team’s mantra. Lesley is the in–house computer and ‘anything that plugs in’ engineer. She is extremely knowledgeable with IT which is a vital role within Traction given the level of investment that has been made in systems and hardware across the company. As well as bringing her technology skills to the team, Lesley brings a soothing aura into the office with her light–heartedness, level–headedness and calm, controlled approach to life and business.

Commercial Director

Following graduation from Queens University, Ciarán completed his training contract at EY and qualified as a Chartered accountant in 2013. He spent the next eight years within one of Northern Ireland’s largest companies, progressing from group accountant to the position of head of finance for the group. In addition to leading the group’s financial reporting and control function, he gained an in–depth exposure to the commercial and operational aspects of running a group of 35 companies, with 2,500 employees and £750 million turnover spanning industries including commercial vehicle sales, rental and repair, road transport, manufacturing, asset finance, construction equipment sales and rental and property management. Ciarán has a very strong analytical focus with an eye for identifying and driving efficiencies and continuous improvement and prides himself on adopting a firm but fair philosophy in all aspects of his professional life. A keen and competitive sports man, Ciarán would pick the highlight of his career as representing St.Endas in Croke park in the all Ireland GAA final in 2019 and attributes his ability to work well within a team to his sporting background.

Martina has 25 years’ experience in the industry and has been with the company since inception, making her the longest serving member of staff. She is responsible for managing the finances of the business. Martina is a popular member of the wider Traction team. She is a perfectionist in every way and works extremely efficiently under pressure, whilst developing strong relationships with customers and staff alike.

Martin has been with Traction since May 2021 and is responsible for the valeting and detailing of our ex–lease vehicles and new vehicles when required. Martin works closely alongside the used car department ensuring vehicles are prepared to a high standard. Additionally, working closely with our sales and maintenance teams when required. Martin has recently completed a course in vehicle detailing and keeps up to date with the latest paint correction techniques and vehicle cleaning methods. Having previously been a business owner, Martin enjoys a challenge and works well both independently and as part of the team.
